Where in the world was Kiden Studios?

It's been too long since I blogged, and indeed since I worked on any scrapping stuff. I am still recovering from my car accident, and am limited in the amount of time I can be on the computer. But back in October, I was working fervently on my Divine Diva Deal kit, "Ghost Town", and was very pumped about the release. Then, the day it was to be released, Divine Digital was hacked and the entire site deleted including the boutique. By the time they got the site back up and running, my Diva Deal timeslot had ended. And along with it, so had my designing mojo.

I have been slowly returning items to my boutique when I can. Just this past week, I started designing some new stuff. Below are some previews of the newest stuff in my boutique, including my Diva Deal kit that never was. I am also working on a "cool" new kit that I expect to release mid-January :D

Just a quick note about the Beach Bum Coupon Code, provided in the previous post. Some people are having difficulty redeeming the coupon at DivineDigital, but I just tried it out and it works. Make sure you are logged in when you go to your cart and enter the code in the "Coupon Code" textbox ... if you see the "Gift Certificate" textbox, you've gone one page too far :D Hope that helps!

"sKooL" is a grungy, urban back to school kit with elements for Kindergarten to College! This kit is for my special little guy, Alex, who will be starting Kindergarten next week. Dollar Daze & New Fan Page :D

Good day, all :)

I'm posting from work this morning; but I wanted to take a minute to share a couple of new things at Kiden Studios! Firstly, Kiden Studios is on Facebook!! That's right :) we have a brand new fan page, where I will show sneak peek at new kits, notify my fans of upcoming sales and promos, as well as share the occasional exclusive freebie.

I'll be having a "Bring Back My Spring! Dollar Daze" sale in conjunction with this event. Spring is usually my favourite time of year, with the warming weather, beautiful budding trees, and birds chirping in the crisp morning air. But this year, it's a little too crisp. We've had two separate snowfalls this month alone ..... I know, snow in May, it's disgusting!! This morning, it's a balmy zero degrees Celsius, and I'm braving the weather in my capris & sandals. I refuse to break out my winter clothes again this late in the game!!

Needless to say, I need some "perking up" this Spring. So, for each day from May 20th to 31st, I'll be putting one item in my boutique on sale for a dollar! I'll be notifying my Facebook fans of which item the evening before :) So, to make sure you don't miss out on any deals, be sure to add yourself as a fan of Kiden Studios!

As promised, I have a little "sneak peek" into my newest kit, "Urban: Chaos", coming to my boutique on Saturday. As you can probably tell, it's a celebration of the art of graffiti. Please note: I am not condoning graffiti, particularly the illegal and defacing kind, but you gotta admit that some of these folks have some serious skills!

Featured in the layouts are my stepson (from my previous marriage), Andrew, my baby Nico, and my older boy, "Mr Cool" himself, Alex! Everything in this kit has Alex's "coolness" seal of approval :) It is sure to capture the 'tude in your teen, tween, or little guys.

I made my Easter card yesterday using my "All Things New" pagekit and addon, and I realized I need some coordinating alphas. A Splashing New Kit & FREEBIE :D

Good day, all! I hope you are having a much lovelier Spring than I! Here in "Winter-peg", it seems this year Ole' Man Winter just doesn't want to go away. But he has really overstayed his welcome! We were finally down to just a little tiny bit of snow on the ground. The boys were thoroughly enjoying all the puddles, when we got hit with another Winter storm -- 10 inches of new snow {{ sigh }}

But that brief glimpse into Spring stirred up some inspiration, and I designed an adorable new Spring kit called "Puddles & Sunshine". It's a lot more cutesy than I am accustomed to designing, but all my fellow grunge-lovers out there, don't worry. I'll be decaying, distorting, and grunging it up again real soon! New Years' Resolution

Well, I started out 2009 on a good head of steam, but I think my steam may be running out. My New Year's Resolution for blogging and weekly freebies is in jeopardy of being broken. Where did March come from? Just crept up at me out of nowhere :D

I'm falling just a wee bit behind on my freebies! I still owe a fourth Girlz Wordism freebie, plus some for March -- not to mention my boutique freebies for the new month. What have I been working on, you ask? Right now, I am finishing up a grunge-tastic new kit (first in a series) that I will be releasing shortly. Also have some fantastic new photomasks and alphas in the works, as well as a neat new element template .... All of these will be in my boutique (**fingers crossed**) for the Divine Digital Storewide 50% off SALE coming up next weekend (March 20-22).

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope some of you have more exciting plans than I do this New Year's Eve: scrapping and playing video games with my boys. However you ring in the New Year, I wish you all the best in 2009 :) One of my New Year's resolutions: to blog a bit more often :D

I promised earlier in the week that I would post a fab new freebie for all of you before 2009. Well, it came down to the wire {LOL} but here it is: a hybrid "Christmas Cheer: Cosmo Cricket Jack Album"! This album was made with Cyndi Wetmiller's fantastic holiday kit, "Christmas Cheer". Just click on the previews to download. Enjoy :)

If you don't have a Cosmo Cricket Jack Album, they are available for sale at various places. But I like to just print these on heavy cardstock (or glue onto cardstock) and cut along the guides. Punch a hole in the proper space, then you can use a ring fastener or a ribbon to collect it together!

Howdy, all! Sorry for the delay in posting today; I'm home with the kids. The daycare provider is sick and I couldn't make alternate arrangements, so I was "forced" to stay home from work. I know, it's terrible :) But I've been trying to take advantage of this free day, and it has just been flying by. I figured I'd do my blog post as soon as the kids go for their nap, but they wouldn't settle in. So, I lay down with them for "a minute" and fell asleep before they did! And, here we are.

Greetings, all!! Long time, no blog for me ... sorry about that. Things are getting a little bit .... hectic.... to say the least! Especially with the holidays creeping up on us :) And, as usual, I'm blogging from work so I'll have to make it brief. So, let's get to it, shall we??

PAWSatively Divine:

This month at DivineDigital.com, we have a fabulous new Mega Charity kit with 100% of the proceeds going to support our furry friends at the ASPCA! A truly worthy cause, and close to my heart as nearly every pet my family has had has been rescued.

My family got Sheri when I was 10 or so. She was a terrier-poodle mutt, and was very badly treated. Her owner was about to throw her and one of her pups into the river when a neighbour stepped in and said they'd take them. They kept the puppy and asked around for an owner for Sheri. She was so dirty and matted, with hair down to the floor. My mom went to get her and Sheri did not move for the entire car ride home. She just curled up on the floor in a ball. When they got home, Sheri ran to me and wouldn't leave my side. That night we gave her a bath and discovered she was actually a white dog. The next day we took her for a haircut and she came back nearly bald, skinny and shaking, but so much happier. We had Sheri for 12 years. It was painfully hard to put her down, but she had cancer in her mammary glands and was suffering terribly. Anyone who thinks dogs don't go to Heaven has obviously never had a dog :)

So, in celebration of Sheri and all our fabulous rescued pets out there, I've made a "PAWSatively Divine" paw-shaped hybrid album. Well, Halloween was a hoot! Lots of fun with the kids out and running around after candy :) I love to see the houses that go all out with Halloween decorations! They're a real treat. The kids get a real kick out of them. While we were trick-or-treating, we could hear this house playing Halloween music with a fun character making jokes and stuff. So, the boys and I decided we would go in the direction of that house til we found it. Well, we ended up going more than 8 blocks to that house! Turns out it was a DJ with 16 inch subwoofers and professional equipment, mixing Halloween tunes and DJing his own Halloween party! He tried to get the boys to talk into the mic (which apparently could be heard over 8 blocks in each direction), but they were too scared :)

Without further ado, I present you my Blog Me SNAPlets for October 2008. They were made with "Charming Memories" by Cindy Ritter! Love the rich earth tones in this kit!

And here are the SNAPlets. Hope you like them! I tried to get a little fancy with the first one, and put a rainy window effect over it (courtesy of PanosFX). See the sample below for an idea of it. I think it's a cool effect, but I've provided two versions of this SNAPlet, one with Rainy Window all over, and one just on the background. Just click on the preview to download!
